Visiting her sister on a U.S. Air Force base had a profound effect on Phyllis Newhouse.
“I walked on that base and I saw so many women, and I thought, ‘Wow, these women are leaders, this is exciting.’ That motivated me to really want to be in the military because I saw myself as becoming a great leader," Newhouse said on Atlanta Business Chronicle’s BIZ television show.
