Steps to Developing a Winning Attitude

Now that we’ve officially wrapped up the NewVIEW NewCHALLENGE, I’m excited to dive into an area of life most people don’t do much about -- staying on track with your goals. As you start to think about finishing this year off strong, you can continue to operate in greatness and get yourself in the best shape you can be in all areas of life.

How do you do that? The first step is to develop a winning attitude.

Developing and maintaining a winning attitude isn’t always easy, but it is possible if you want it and put in the effort. All you need is a mindset change.

So I would like to encourage you to hit reset so you begin to think about how you can grow in every area. Growth is really about a mentality and is always necessary for us to operate in our greatness. Once you reach your goal, you also want to maintain it. You can’t do a diet for a couple months or stop your Bible reading plan halfway through. To stay in your best shape, you have to train every day.

I love the athlete mentality. You’re constantly in training mode and you’re anticipating a win! When you have this mindset, you’re going to wake up every day with a winning attitude.

While talking with a friend of mine about this exact topic, he said something incredibly profound that has stuck with me ever since:

“If you don’t train your brain every day to say, ‘Nothing’s wrong, I can do this.’ Then you’ll start thinking about all these things that are wrong that really aren’t.”

That’s so true! You can train your brain to overcome your fears and operate in greatness.

Moving forward, I’m going to talk about what happens when you get off track and provide strategies to reel yourself back in.

As you make big and small decisions this week, I want you to ask yourself these questions:

  1. Have you prayed about all these areas of your life?

  2. What will you do to keep your goals on track?

Answer these questions or leave your prayer request in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!

Good luck with your goals and never stop fighting your fears. You’re an overcomer and you’ve got this!
